It is a beautiful shopping mall.
We took the escalators to the top, and enjoyed the wonderful views of the city!
Afterward, we hopped on our bikes, and made our way through the city! It was quite an upward climb, but we enjoyed the ride. Making our way to the top of Montmartre, we saw this cute building:
Once we were at the top, we went inside a small church. There was an interesting scene going on, as a crew of firefighters were adjusting the lights for what seemed to be a very picky priest.
They had to send two people up the ladder,
but I guess they finally got it right.
Then, we picked up some crepes! One nutella and one ham and cheese. They were delicious!
After eating the crepes, we toured Sacre Cour, and enjoyed the lovely views of the city.
It started raining a bit at this point, so we hung out under a tree for a few minutes before biking back to the main part of the city. Next up was Notre Dame! It was beautiful.
We went on a guided tour of the cathedral, which was very informative. The stained glass inside is so pretty!
After Notre Dame, we headed to Pompidou, where we got a taste of modern art. Much of the art we saw was way too modern for us, but we enjoyed the nice views of the city. We could see Montmartre, which we had just biked back from!
We then biked south to Luxembourg Gardens, where we saw the Medici Fountain.
The Luxembourg Gardens were beautiful!
For dinner, we had reservations at Les Papilles.
A beautiful flower at our table:
The soup was amazing!
The wine was smooth.
The lamb was really tasty, too!
We didn't so much enjoy the cheese course, though. And I forgot to take a picture of the dessert, which was a chilled apricot dessert. It was very refreshing after a hot day!
After dinner, we walked off all of the food we had eaten, and enjoyed a boat cruise on the Seine River. There were marvelous views of the Eiffel Tower, all lit up!
The city at night was so beautiful!
After the cruise, we walked back through the Lourve to our apartment.
We stopped to see the twinkling lights of the Eiffel Tower.
And that was the end of another wonderful day in Paris!
