Paris, Day 2

Img_2958
Our second day in Paris, we got off to a little bit of a late start, as we began our day with a visit to the Apple Store in hopes that they would replace our dead iPhone charger. What a lovely time our charger chose to stop working! Apple confirmed that our charger was dead, but could not replace because we didn't have a phone that was under warranty with us. So, we went out in search of a cheap electronics store that would hopefully sell us a charger for much less than 30 euro. We finally found a store that sold generic chargers, but we had to pay 24 euros. It was still a savings though, and this charger came with an adapter that we could use with the Kindle Fire, which was useful for us as well. So now we have a French iPhone/Kindle charger for anyone that may need one...

Once we took care of the shopping necessities, we biked to Musee Rodin, where we saw beautiful gardens and statues.

Afterward, we toured the Musee de l'Armee.

We got a little stuck in the gardens surrounding the building, as there is a large moat surrounding it!

We then biked around this area, in search of the Eiffel Tower. We stopped for lunch on Rue Cler, which we very much enjoyed!

We enjoyed our views of the Eiffel Tower, and then biked on to the Champs Elysees. We enjoyed the tourist trap that is macaroons, and then enjoyed walking down the grand boulevard to the Arc de Triomphe.

At the Arc de Triomphe, we crossed under the street, and made our way to the top.

At the Arc de Triomphe, we were so happy that we had the Paris Museum Pass since it allowed us to skip a pretty long line. Overall, the Museum Pass did allow us to skip lines and saved us money, so it was definitely a good decision to buy it.

We climbed back down, and enjoyed biking back down the Champs Elysees to our B&B.

Our dinner that evening was lovely...

Two hamburgers, one order of fries, and two waters. Oh, and pommes-frites sauce. I prefer ketchup, though.

After dinner, we headed to the Louvre.

There is so much amazing art! Of course, there was lots of commotion around the Mona Lisa.

We got a pretty good view...

and after years and years of people talking about how much smaller it was than they thought it would be, we thought it would be tiny. So, it was bigger than we had expected. Go figure.

After we finished our evening at the Louvre, we actually headed back to McDonalds for more burgers... because looking at all that art made us hungry again. We also ate an ice cream sundae, and enjoyed just being in Paris!
